By now on the roadsides
the blackberries are all dried up
the last bunches of grapes left to rot
I would like to extend my hand
savor those golden berries
but the rain is cold and persistent
So I stay behind the window
that is tarnishing
like our hopes
In this icy wash
that fades all our dreams
and makes everything uncertain
Ancient desires die out
hidden sensations vanish
Everything dies
and is reborn in other forms
I felt it once
right inside the eyes
of another distant rain
and remained autumn forever
